Put the whipping cream into a bowl and whisk until soft peaks form.
Next, add the cream cheese and combine until smooth.
Finally, put the Nutella and vanilla extract into the bowl, and sift in the cocoa powder. Whisk gently until it has the desired consistency. I prefer a stiff peak, but equally, you could leave it at soft peaks as it will harden a little in the refrigerator.
To assemble the dish, you can place the mixture into a piping bag and pipe into a glass (allowing the layers to be seen) and then add some of the optional toppings, then repeat.
For a more formal occasion, try using a swirly piping nozzle, as this will produce a more elegant result.
Put in the refrigerator for at least two hours to set before serving. Alternatively, you could spoon the mixture gently into a ramekin and allow the other diners to choose their own toppings.
